School’s in session

Today is the first day of school for all those young achievers out there and they need you to make it an extra special year by coming out to Hawthornes, Thursday September 8th for the Passyunk Square School Supply Drive Happy Hour.

On average teachers spend nearly $500 of their own money to supply for incoming students and extra supplies. Student supply lists can be as much as $70. So think of things like lunch boxes, rulers, glue sticks, notepads, and pencils. (All Supplies Needed)

Hawthornes is located at 738 South 11th street

A $10 ticket gets you discounted food and drink, kid friendly specials, and a 50/50 raffle. Happy hour runs from 5pm-7pm, families are welcome, and bring supplies for the drop box!

All supplies support the Jackson & Kirkbride Schools.

If you regrettably can’t make it, you can also donate via several drop boxes around the city like;

Alphabet Academy of Philadelphia: 1020 North Marshall Street

Tildies Toy Box: 1829 East Passyunk Ave

3D Personal Training: 1415 Melon Street

ACME Market: 1400 East Passyunk Ave
