Coded by Kids

Coded by Kids is committed to providing free tech education, tech industry exposure and career mentorship to children who lack access to these opportunities. Their programs are designed to help students achieve success by providing them with a combination of real world tech skills and access to a support system of mentors with experience in the tech industry.

In May of 2017 we hosted a Bahn Mi Bash benefiting Coded by Kids. The evening featured beer tasting by Cartesian Brewing, a signature cocktail by 13 Street Cocktail Catering, and a variety of bahn mi sandwiches, including: sticky pork belly, coconut milk braised chicken, and steamed tofu. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, vendors, hosts, and attendees – We raised $450 for Coded by Kids!

The Monkey & The Elephant

By purchasing coffee and baked goods from The Monkey & The Elephant, patrons support the former foster youth who are part of the M&E Program. Youth that go through the foster care system are at greater risk of experiencing incarceration, homelessness and reliance on public assistance or welfare. As such, participants of the program are employed at the cafe to equip them with the necessary tools to make the transition to self-sufficient adulthood.

In December of 2016 we hosted a benefit dinner for The Monkey & The Elephant. The evening allowed guests to mingle with great company and enjoy amazing food and drink, including a strong batch of “Newgronis” from 13 Street Cocktails and a meal by Chef Sydney Louise. Thanks to a giving group of sponsors and friends – We raised over $1,000 for The Monkey & The Elephant!

The Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks inspires people to engage with history by preserving Philadelphia’s unique historic sites while also providing related historical, educational and cultural programming.

In April of 2017 we hosted a benefit dinner to raise money for the Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks. The night was one that won’t soon be forgotten and will help PhilaLandmarks continue the care and maintenance of the magnificent home of Philadelphia’s first Mayor as well as care for and maintain their three other beautiful house museums. Thanks to the kindness of sponsors, guests, and contributors – We raised $640 for PhilaLandmarks!
